Working With YWAM

Recently, I traveled to Australia, where I attended a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). During these six months, I discovered more about who God is and who I am in Him. I developed more of a passion for sharing the love of God, by speaking His Word and serving others in various ways. This growth in me arose when I got the chance to experience this journey with the Lord, in Australia.

I’ll be headed back to work on staff with YWAM, taking a step out in faith to see what God sets forth, just like Peter did stepping out of the boat and onto the water. Todd Ahrend says, “Life begins where your comfort zone ends.” At times, pursuing the uncomfortable could be your first step in obeying God. Stepping out in faith is not always the most “comfortable,” but it grows trust and confidence in the Lord. As one legendary missionary stated, “Do that which you fear most. It could be the key that opens the door to your destiny."

Walking with my head held high, I can freely use the knowledge I've gained on my journey to awaken others to the fullness of God. This opportunity is a volunteer position where I will lead others who are becoming disciples of Christ, along with helping them grow in their knowledge of the Lord, evangelism, and missions. We will be a part of team ministries to help our community, as well as pouring out into the students as they discover the love of Christ for themselves.

It would bless me tremendously if you would join me in prayer as I take this step in faith towards what God is leading me to. If you want to know more about what I encountered and how God moved in me, I’d love to set up a time to call or meet up with you! I’d also like to ask you to pray about joining my financial support team. I’ll be needing monthly support for housing, food, and other personal necessities, along with different trainings and outreaches that I’ll be required to be apart of. My plan is to head back to Australia around February. If you are unable to support me financially, I'd greatly appreciate it if you kept me in your prayers, as I conquer fear and take this leap of faith.

Walking down this path that God placed before me with YWAM, I’m filled with great excitement and expectation of the future! I’m expectant that God will expand my knowledge of who He is. Many more testimonies of God’s goodness and love will flow forth from this experience of growth and faith.
