Hey guys!!
Well I’ve been gone a month now! God is moving so much here! I'm so blessed to be a part of this YWAM team! There are 6 people in my DTS including me. Jon and Zoey, a married couple from the UK. Alena is form LA, California. Tiana is from Canada. And Noè is from Switzerland. There’s such a strong sense of unity between us! We just like a little family!
Outreaches in the area have been amazing! Here are the ones I’ve been able to be a part of!
• DUOs Is a soup kitchen. My team and really try and pour into their lives. Connect with the people and share stories. They crave so much for just someone to talk to and to listen to them.
• Streetlights, which is where we go to the local mall on Thursdays nights, which is the night the mall is open latest. And just really try and connect with the young people who come. We set up a tent and play games, do henna, listen to uplifting music. Most of these kids who come have it kinds rough and it gives them a safe place to be at.
•Kids Club, it’s an after school program for elementary students. Most of the kids have some kind of need. It’s been so nice to just show them unconditional love and support, where as they may not get that in school or home.
•But my favorite outreach is Rehab. There I go with a team of women who go around the town to different brothels, massage parlors, and streets, where the sex workers are. There we bring little gifts, different Christian pamphlets, sometimes coats if it’s cold out. To just show these women that they are loved and valued. Some of the women are there by force and some are just at a bad place in they’re life. You never really know for sure, the girls move around so much. They really love to just talk to you and appreciate the gifts you bring them.
Lectures have been so amazing and I’m growing so much in my faith. And my confidence is growing so much! Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support. I’m so excited to see what God continues to do in me and through me. God bless
